Navy Getaways 2018 Projects:
NBVC Point Mugu, Calif.
MCH: Last year you mentioned that Navy Getaways was
deploying automated comment card surveys to every guest
electronically upon check out. Has this deployment helped
you reach your goal of standardizing program amenities
and creating/setting the expectation for guests?
Davis: Yes, it was deployed in Oct.-Nov. 2016. It has greatly
impacted the direct awareness to the program for both areas
of improvement and the acknowledgment of our efforts for a
successful customer experience.
The Sterling series offers quality comfort
and benchmark durability, revived with
comprehensive attention for a pleasing MCH: Any updates on the Learning Management
unity of form and function. Gasser chairs System (LMS)?
don’t merely perform, they dazzle.
Davis: We have completed about 80 percent of a substantial

Featured Chair: Sterling STR-102 has gone quite well. We have migrated to a drop-down naviga-
tion system with a user-friendly interface that allows our staff
more latitude in managing their training. The interface has
been updated to use a click-and-drag file
folder navigation tool with integrated
files to allow users to locate resources
using our new Resource tab option. This
also streamlines the enrollment and reg-
istration process for NLP classes and
allows users to manage their training
folders more efficiently. Additionally,
we have our first Career Path Guide
model available as part of the LMS
improvements. Additional updates are
expected during the last quarter of 2017
for further software and site navigation
improvements.
MCH: Do you have any new programs
and/or initiatives planned for 2018?
Davis: We are working on deploy-
ing chip-and-pin credit card processing
Veteran for all NGIS properties by first quarter
Veteran

information. Each front desk worksta-
tion will be equipped with a small credit
card terminal where the guest inserts
the chip on their credit card. The card
never leaves the guest’s possession.
Additionally, the program is working
